KYN is a brand-new care home company focused on offering an elevated approach to care: Individualised journeys built around the needs and interests of our residents in beautiful surroundings with life-enriching practices. Our first home, KYN BICKLEY, opened in February 2023. KYN BICKLEY is an 86‑bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining, and inviting outdoor terraces overlooking landscaped gardens bordered by woodland. We have three additional care homes in development in London.
Responsibilities
- Support the Nurse and Household Care Lead in delivering the highest standards of person‑centred care to individuals living in a KYN residence whilst preserving their dignity, respect and wellbeing.
- Understand the personalised care plan for each resident in the designated household and be responsible for all aspects of care, assisting with personal care, washing, dressing and supporting continence needs appropriately.
- Undertake minor medical duties including oral care, skin care (application of topical creams), catheter care and end‑of‑life care.
- Ensure privacy, dignity and respect is always maintained for each resident.
- Create a nurturing environment where residents and their family feel loved, happy, safe and secure.
- Act as a brand ambassador who demonstrates and leads the KYN values.
- Demonstrate patience and the ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Be an effective team player who builds professional and trusting relationships with every member of the team, ensuring they feel valued.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail and anticipate problems before they arise.
- Resolve complaints, investigate and manage incidents effectively and efficiently.
- Be a compassionate, empathetic, kind and caring individual.
