The Place Kylesku House is a luxury lodge-style property in the Northern Highlands, welcoming guests from near and far, exploring this glorious wild part of Scotland on the NC500. The house offers a truly authentic Highland experience hosted by a small but dedicated team, with spectacular views over Loch Glencoul.
This high-quality house has seven comfortable guest rooms and offers an extensive continental breakfast for guests each morning. Located just 1.5 miles up the hill from the main Kylesku Hotel, Kylesku House enjoys a peaceful and secluded setting while being closely connected to the wider hotel team and facilities. Cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at Kylesku Hotel, meaning there is no kitchen team onsite at the house.
Working between Kylesku House and Kylesku Hotel, the great outdoors is right on your doorstep, perfect for adventure and exploration. This is a varied, hands-on hospitality role working across both Kylesku House and Kylesku Hotel. You will spend some shifts at Kylesku House, primarily covering days off for the two main House Hosts, and the remaining shifts at Kylesku Hotel, supporting service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Flexibility is essential, as shift patterns will vary depending on where support is needed.
When working at Kylesku House, the role includes:
- Providing warm, hands-on hospitality to ensure guests receive a relaxed, welcoming, and high-quality experience throughout their stay.
- Greeting and checking in guests.
- Preparing and setting up the continental breakfast display (including a small selection of hot items).
- Clearing and washing breakfast dishes.
- Supporting the daily housekeeping of seven guest bedrooms to ensure high standards are consistently maintained.
When working at Kylesku Hotel, the role includes:
- Supporting the wider team with front-of-house hospitality across the day, which may include breakfast service, lunch service, and evening service.
- Delivering excellent guest experience, supporting colleagues, and maintaining presentation and service standards in line with the Kylesku brand.
This position is ideally suited to individuals looking to relocate to the Scottish Highlands and embrace a unique lifestyle in one of Scotland's most beautiful and remote locations. Hours of work will be 5 days over 7, with shifts worked across the hotel and house operation. House shifts are typically daytime (approximately 7.00am – 3.30pm). Hotel shifts will vary and may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
Due to the location and the requirement to move between Kylesku Hotel and Kylesku House, candidates must hold a clean, valid driving licence. Own transport is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will have experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles and enjoy working in a hands-on, guest-focused environment. Key skills and attributes include:
- Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, front-of-house, or guest services.
