The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Property Maintenance Operative will be responsible for carrying out various maintenance or repair tasks within the Company estate.

This is a permanent role based upon 45hrs/week, field-based role to include frequent travel daily within the defined territory, so a full UK Cat B licence is essential to your application.

The Day to Day

  • Carry out routine maintenance and building tasks individually or as part of a team including but not exhaustive to basic plumbing, brickwork and carpentry.
  • Carry out repairs to the fabric of a building, for example repairs to walls, doors, doorframes, skirting boards or plaster damage to internal walls.
  • Assist when required in the refurbishment or dilapidations of sites, including alterations needed to the layout of the building and the redecoration both internally and externally.
  • Ensure all works are carried out within current building regulations and local authority guidelines with an understanding of current building and construction H&S guidelines.
  • Complete works within agreed timescales and using agreed material suppliers, as dictated by management or other team members.
  • Record and report maintenance activities accurately.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed.
  • Keep knowledge up to date in relation to building regulation changes and complete a minimum of 10 hours of continued personal development per year.
  • Other tasks and duties reasonably required by Management.
  • Act as an ambassador for ETEL’s company values and behaviours at all times.

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrates a positive, proactive and professional approach.
  • Organised, able to manage competing demands.
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, dedicated, and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Capable of working under pressure when dealing with multiple competing priorities and challenging deadlines/workload, without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Adequate level of IT proficiency across Microsoft Office.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and self-development.
  • Construction industry knowledge preferable.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence (Cat B) – essential.
  • CSCS Card - (desirable).
  • Working with hazardous materials certificate - (desirable, training can be given).
