This is a full-time, on-site Tyre Technician role based at the Kwik-Fit centre in Brentford. The Tyre Technician will inspect, remove, and fit tyres on a range of vehicles, including balancing and aligning wheels in line with company and safety standards. Daily tasks include assessing tyre wear and damage, advising customers on suitable replacements, and ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently. The role also involves using workshop equipment, following health and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and completing basic vehicle checks where required. The Tyre Technician will interact with customers and colleagues, supporting a positive service experience and contributing to the smooth running of the centre.
Qualifications
- Practical tyre fitting skills, including safe removal, fitting, balancing, and basic wheel alignment.
- Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly, with attention to health and safety procedures.
- Good customer service and communication skills, with a professional and helpful approach to all customers.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, support colleagues, and work efficiently under time pressure.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles (e.g., brakes, suspension, general checks) is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a fast-fit, automotive, or similar workshop environment is an advantage but not always essential.
- Full UK driving licence preferred to support vehicle movement and test drives when required.
