Faculty Overview:
As Canada\’s only polytechnic university, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is the fourth largest university in the province of British Columbia and serves communities in the South Fraser region and beyond. Position Overview:
The Faculty of Science at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is currently seeking applications for one full-time NR2 faculty member in the Mathematics Department to commence their appointment as of 1 January, 2026.
Our Applications of Mathematics Major program has specializations in Biomathematics, Computational Mathematics, and Mathematics Education, and we are looking for candidates who will help us enhance our Computational Mathematics program. Qualifications:
The successful applicants will possess, at a minimum, a Master\’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Analysis, successful experience teaching in a post-secondary setting, and a willingness to teach all levels of Mathematics, from preparatory through fourth year level. Expertise in one of our areas of specialization, especially Computational Maths (including Computational Statistics and Data Analysis) or Biomathematics, is an asset. Current industry or research experience in relevant fields is also an asset. Candidates with a wide range of mathematical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
