POSITION: Credit Control Manager

LOCATION: Leeds

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

SUMMARY:

The credit control manager will be responsible for managing the consolidated debt ledger for the company, developing strategy for driving forward debt collection and implanting continuous improvements around systems and processes.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for 8 (4 US, 3 UK) credit controllers working on different ledgers
  • Agreeing targets with the team on a monthly basis and supporting them to deliver
  • Responsible for c. $32m debt book across
  • Proactive, driving continuous improvement and credit control strategy
  • Credit check all new business and generate the ERP account
  • Proactively chase all debts via telephone and email
  • Issue statements
  • Complex query resolution
  • Maintain detailed and accurate notes on Credit Control system
  • Post all cash to the sales ledger and accurately allocate on a daily basis
  • Account reconciliations
  • Weekly/monthly update to CFO

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • 7/8 years credit control experience, dealing with major accounts
  • Previous management experience, desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to take responsibility and ownership for the department and the deadlines
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Confident, with strong analytical skills
