KURY UK Ltd is part of an international company, Kury Groupe, 100% dedicated to the nuclear field with 23 years of experience in nuclear engineering. We are involved in several nuclear projects, including FA3 EPR (France), the French fleet, Taishan EPR (China), Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.
As a Power Cable List Engineer, you will be in charge of performing the necessary engineering analysis, including the supporting calculations, for a specific system(s) or scope of electrical activity in order to produce the documentation required for the project. You will act as a central point of contact for system(s) or electrical activities.
- Concatenate and check the consistency of input data to be used for the cabling activity.
- Evaluate the input data maturity provided by system, equipment contract, I&C and cabling engineers.
- Produce all the documents necessary for building the cable list including the voltage plan, the summary table and the associated specific calculations notes.
- Produce all the documents necessary for the electrical sub-distribution sequence.
- Monitor the production of the design office deliverables and ensure they are produced following relevant quality management system.
- Identify, monitor and progress open points, design change, interfaces in order to have a vision of the evolution of the activity maturity, ensure traceability, as well as proper configuration management.
- Carry out the necessary reporting and indicators for the project within the team and toward the client for the scope under the Electrical Cabling Engineer responsibility.
- Monitor and manage interfaces with the cable lists produced by contract holders.
- Ensure consistency of the design of electrical penetration and cable routing.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics.
Knowledge of EPR electrical cabling sequence.
Working knowledge of electrical cable sizing.
Knowledge or relevant experience in the nuclear industry.
Ability to effectively manage own workload in order to produce high-quality documents and respect deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate clearly and accurately, proactive and confident in communicating with others particularly those based in remote offices including France and Germany, proactive in developing positive working relations with others within the project.
Continuously looking for opportunities to improve quality of engineering studies and the subsequent documentation produced.
Knowledge of EPR electrical distribution design principles, Instrumentation and Control architecture and Safety Classification.
Experience in working on an operating plant or on an industrial site.
Ability to speak and write technical documents in French.
