KURY UK Ltd is part of an international company, Kury Groupe, 100% dedicated to the nuclear field with 26 years of experience in nuclear engineering. We have been working with EDF (French Electricity Producer) and are involved in several nuclear projects, including FA3 EPR (France), the French fleet, Taishan EPR (China), Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. THE ROLE
As a Radioprotection Instrumentation Contract Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring our main equipment supplier Handovers on the scope of nuclear instrumentation and radioprotection equipment KRC (personnel radioactivity monitoring and protection). You will be in charge of the following activities:
- Ensure the technical clarification and resolution of supplier and client technical queries.
- Ensure technical management of the supplier and support to the client in their contractual relationship during the design, procurement and delivery phase regarding the schedule, costs, specifications and requisitions.
- Follow up on all equipment manufacturing and delivery to site.
- Lead reviews of supplier technical documents and annual surveillance reports.
- Management of risks, opportunities, open Points, UK Design Changes and Exemptions requests generated by our supplier.
- Management of contract transfer sheets that inform the clients about contract modification via dedicated tools.
- Management of interfaces with the client’s disciplines involved in the radioprotection equipment contracts.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other types of equipment or projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experience working on an EPR project, operating a nuclear power plant or on an industrial site.
- Experience in the radioprotection field, instrumentation equipment design, procurement, testing or installation.
- Experience in technical document reviews.
- Knowledge of the electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system.
- Knowledge of the processes involved in industrial projects in the energy field.
- Ability to write and review complex technical documents.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, able to liaise between multiple stakeholders and meet the deadline requirements.
- French-speaking and reading would be an advantage.
