SUITABLE CANDIDATE

You enjoy analysing concrete problems, finding solutions and then setting them up. Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions as regards industrial safety captivates you. Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesising and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments. You have the ability to adapt to new technical problems. You know how to manage a small-sized team. You like the idea of working on Projects and Quality matters to you. You are a good team player.

THE ROLE

As a System Integrator, you will act as a technical and change coordinator and will be responsible for managing the progress of the configuration-related activities within the Waste Systems Team. This team is in charge of the design of the effluent treatment systems within the Nuclear Island. Your main activities will be the following:

  • Defining and cascading priorities in line with the project milestones (equipment contracts’ deadlines, progression on site, commissioning needs etc.).
  • Providing technical support and advice to the system engineers and technical leads in the optioneering and resolution of multi-disciplinary issues in a proactive manner.
  • Facilitating and coordinating with the interfaced disciplines (layout, civil, contracts, nuclear safety, hazards, electrical, I&C, environment, commissioning, etc.).
  • Following the progress and escalating blocking points to the relevant stakeholders within the project including the Responsible Designer and the Intelligent customer.
  • Organising and facilitating the team’s participation in the relevant committees.
  • Promoting stability of the design, challenging optioneering and need for modifications before design change opening.
  • Ensuring completeness of impacts and consistency before integration of design change.
  • Overseeing the timely update of configuration attributes.
  • Overseeing the timely update of specification databases.

You will also be responsible for the following activities:

  • Piloting and coordinating transverse technical tasks with multiple systems involved, within the Waste System team scope or within the whole systems department scope.
  • Communicating, reporting and escalating Technical Direction on the configuration KPI of the team, as well as cascading Technical direction priorities and directives.
  • Overseeing the design maturity of the systems.
  • Occasional peer checking and approval of updated specification databases data with co-checking from technical/group leads, in compliance with the quality process and engineering guidelines.
  • Ensuring activities are performed according to quality standards and processes.
  • Collaborating with UK, France and Germany system teams and technical referents.

During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge or relevant experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Ability to effectively manage own and team’s workload in order to respect deadlines and KPI requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and accurately. Proactive and confident in communicating with others, particularly those based in remote offices including France and Germany. Proactive in developing positive working relations with others within the project.
  • Knowledge of EPR system design principles, Instrumentation and Control architecture and Safety Classification.
  • Experience of working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site.
