Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions regarding industrial safety captivates you. Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesising and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments. You have the ability to adapt to new technical problems. You know how to manage a small-sized team. You like the idea of working on Projects and Quality matters to you. You are a good team player.

THE ROLE

As an Electrical Configuration Control Lead, you will report functionally to the Electrical Engineering Manager. Your role will be varied and technically challenging. You will be involved in engineering issues, design delivery, design handovers to site, manufacturing & procurement activities for the above scopes. These will predominantly be before installation and commissioning activities although as the role develops more site support will be required. Your role will require close coordination with all stakeholders involved in design, procurement and manufacturing stages. You will manage 2 configuration engineers.

The nature of the role involves global support to electrical disciplines to ensure delivery in accordance with the principles of safety, quality, time and cost and not impeded by delayed resolution of engineering issues. The role requires an understanding of the electrical disciplines, facilitation and communication skills, be able to work autonomously and the ability to deal with a huge number of topics simultaneously.

You will be responsible for the main following activities:

  • Accountability of the overall end-to-end configuration control, including compliance of IEG and IED disciplines with all the project configuration requirements (processes, controls, records…).
  • Regular report to the Electrical Engineering Manager on main indicators (KPI, key risks, main OPs…).
  • Set up and consolidate all tools and trackers needed to get a robust and exhaustive configuration management from the basic design to the commissioning activities.
  • Management of Open Points (OPs): Ensure all Open Points are correctly tracked and recorded in Switch database. Organisation of regular meetings with the different RD organisation and with the executions designers to get an overview of all OPs with clear action plans and target dates. Liaising with the engineering leads and RD to ensure OPs are closed on time.
  • Management of Design Changes (DCs): Attendance at preparation meetings to identify the electrical topics. Distribution of the topics to the relevant engineering leads and PMs to gather their feedback. Feedback to be provided in Switch.
  • Management of Contract Transfer Sheets (CTSs): Follow-up of CTSs, notably to ensure that all CTSs sent by RD have been validated in Teamcenter and instructed to the relevant suppliers.
  • HO2/HO3 delivery: Extract of OPs from Switch to support production. Support to the production to ensure all OPs are correctly recorded. Support to site teams for site-related communications, especially when design and procurement activities are impacted.

Your role will require a significant number of interfaces and stakeholders and therefore it is essential you are able to successfully communicate with all stakeholders. Some key interfaces that need to be considered are the following: Electrical Engineering teams, Mechanical and HVAC configuration control teams, Project Management teams, Plant Integration (mostly for design change management), Area Engineering teams, Execution Designers, Responsible Designer, Contract Engineering Lead (CEL), Discipline Lead and technical teams, Nuclear Services, Site Engineering Team (Joint Design Office), The Site Construction Team, The Quality Teams, Document Control Teams.

During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
