We’re looking for a motivated and well‑organised Facilities Coordinator to join the Kurt J. Lesker Company at our European headquarters in St. Leonards, East Sussex. If you’re ready to play a key role in supporting our operations, we’d be excited to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and general repairs (e.g. light bulb changes, loose fixings, door and window operation).
  • Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g. heating/A‑C system, alarms, security cameras).
  • Coordinate contractors while on site overseeing works and maintenance.
  • Complete tasks as directed by management and H&S committee to ensure facility is compliant with health and safety regulations (e.g. clear walkways, fire doors, testing safety systems, safety lighting).
  • Coordinate waste disposal and recycling working alongside the sustainability committee.
  • Coordinate the schedule for cleaning and disinfecting the building in liaison with procurement.
  • General grounds maintenance, maintain clear, tidy lawn and car park areas removing any debris or rubbish.
  • Maintain facility perimeters, fence repair and painting, security gates and padlocks.
  • Regularly check all rooms and furniture to identify needs for repairs or renovations.
  • Gritting and snow removal.
  • Support machine shop preventative maintenance as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to prioritise work, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Valid UK Driving License.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Basic maintenance skills (Plumbing/Carpentry/Electrics).
  • Basic IT Skills.

Preferred:

  • Manual Handling training.
  • COSHH H&S Training.
