Role Overview
You will have experience designing men's footwear for a high fashion retailer and possess excellent drawing skills and practical knowledge of shoe design to support our designers. We seek someone eager to join our small team and play a key role in creating design-led, fashion-relevant, dynamic collections. You will assist in developing customer and market-focused product collections each season aligned with the company's brand strategy.
Your responsibilities include:
- Researching trends, new materials, trims, and colour palettes.
- Designing new products with original ideas.
- Providing technical drawings for suppliers.
- Finalising designs for production.
- Working closely with the buying team to ensure fit and aesthetics meet brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and passionately represent the Kurt Geiger brand, customer base, and collections.
- Produce high-quality work (Cads and Specs) efficiently.
- Stay engaged with the fashion industry, with strong knowledge of luxury and high street trends, applying this knowledge to our brand.
- Create original, creative, and brand-appropriate ideas based on upcoming trends.
- Work across multiple product categories with enthusiasm.
- Confidently present designs both formally and informally.
- Maintain excellent communication with team members, other departments, and suppliers.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Possess strong technical and practical knowledge to deliver accurate samples.
- Take responsibility for your design work, following samples through to ensure timely delivery of perfect samples through a proactive approach.
