This Assistant Merchandiser role sits within our External Brands team, managing products from amazing brands and sold within the shoe departments of our Luxury partner stores.
Responsibilities:
- Identify trading actions from analysis of stock and sales data
- Own forward forecast for continuity lines proposing re-orders and stock management actions where required
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, through regular meetings and contact
- Work closely with brands to place in season repeats and to address slower turning stock
- Manage flow of intake into the warehouse liaising with Buying, Distribution and Brand contacts. Likewise, manage returns of slow moving stock back to our warehouse and ultimately to Brand partners
- Identify, model and propose promotional activity to the Merchandiser for approval.
- Own mid-season trading review, presenting key learnings by Brand/Price-point/Category/Location to inform Buying strategy for future season.
- Produce ad-hoc analysis for Buying and Merchandising colleagues, often working to tight deadlines
- Manage workload, coaching and development of one Merchandise Admin Assistant
- Undertake regular Store visits to understand feedback from Retail colleagues, see product in situ, and to highlight key trading opportunities and stock risks
