About the Role
We are expanding and seeking a visionary, entrepreneurial leader to drive us towards becoming the leading DMC for UK + Benelux. Reporting to the COO, you will work closely with the Leadership Team, overseeing strategy and full P&L responsibility. The role balances strategic thinking with operational execution, requiring travel and networking outside regular hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 6 Managers and a team of 70 across departments including Hotel Procurement, Operations, Destination Management, Customer Service, Direct Sales, and MICE.
- Leverage relationships with HR, Finance, IT, and collaborate across Europe.
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, sales offices, and tourism organizations.
Operations
- Ensure operational excellence and service quality.
- Streamline work processes and routines.
- Manage service level agreements and monitor KPIs.
- Oversee customer service during office hours and handle client relations.
- Maintain competitive hotel inventories and destination services.
- Innovate product offerings based on market trends.
Management
- Build and manage a high-performing team with regular meetings and development initiatives.
- Define and support team objectives aligned with company strategy.
- Manage budgets, business pipeline, and profitability metrics.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in the travel industry, with 5-7 years in senior management or DMC roles.
- Strong connections within UK and Benelux travel trade.
- Sales experience, excellent communication skills in English.
- Proven leadership in large international teams and change management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
