Role Description
The Private Client Solicitor will work on-site in the Coventry office in a full-time capacity.
This is a maternity cover role initially.
Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning matters, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and managing a varied caseload with appropriate supervision where required.
The role involves meeting clients in person, taking detailed instructions, providing clear and accurate legal advice, and ensuring matters progress efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and firm standards.
The solicitor will liaise with colleagues and external professionals, maintain up-to-date file records, and contribute to business development activities, including maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the firm’s reputation in the local community.
Qualifications
- Strong grounding in Law with the ability to interpret and apply legal principles accurately in private client matters.
- Experience or familiarity with Wills and Probate and Conveyancing to support wider client needs where required.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification) with relevant post-qualification experience in private client work, including wills and probate.
- Excellent client care skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to provide empathetic, practical guidance.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with proven experience in handling multiple matters and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory and professional standards.
