Job Overview
Join Kumu Wellness as a Wheelchair Assistant Practitioner. You will be a key member of a highly motivated multidisciplinary team that assesses and provides wheelchairs and associated equipment to people of all ages with permanent disabilities requiring long‑term wheelchair use across Wirral and West Cheshire.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wheelchair assessments and prescribe suitable wheelchairs and accessories for service users.
- Deliver patient‑facing clinic‑based care and perform home visits to adjust equipment and provide continued support.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and service reviews.
- Collaborate with therapists, engineers and external contractors to ensure timely maintenance and repair services.
- Participate in clinical supervision, training and appraisal processes to further develop your competencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Assistant Practitioner qualification (or nearing completion) or equivalent enhanced competence in wheelchair provision.

- Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible, adaptable approach.
- Full, current driving licence and access to a car to travel between service locations.
