There are more than 650 Kumon study centres across the country and each franchisee is promised a dedicated Area Manager to give them the support and guidance needed to succeed.
We are looking for an Area Manager to develop the study centres proactively and effectively within the Birmingham area, enabling them to meet retention and growth targets. You will maintain a consistent study centre visit schedule, with the skills to manage diverse operations from a distance. You should have a strategic mindset and the conviction to lead by example, modelling what good looks like to others. The goal is to ensure that each franchisee will meet and exceed expectations by ensuring complete understanding of, and alignment with, the franchise agreement.
Ideally, you will have the benefit of extensive business, sales, and leadership experience. You will be expected to:
- act as coach, mentor, confidante, and critical friend to franchisees
- continually monitor core practice for compliance
- drive student enrolment and retention
- advise franchisees about marketing and promoting their centre
- network, with the intention to recruit franchise candidates
Successful area managers are typically in possession of:
- business, marketing, and sales acumen
- adaptable communication styles
- accounting and arithmetic skills
- experience of setting goals and targets
- the ability to interpret data & analytics
- a solid grasp of leadership and management

It is essential that you hold a full UK Drivers Licence and have Right to Work in the UK.
Recruitment:
- Stage 1 - Telephone Meeting with Recruitment Coordinator
- Stage 2 - Orientation Meeting; including proficiency tests in Maths, English, and Aptitude
- Stage 3 β Presentation to a panel, followed by a competency-based interview
