We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Project Director in our construction solutions major projects team. You will lead a small QS team, manage budgets and contracts, ensure compliance with company standards, and provide accurate commercial reporting to secure value and cost recovery. The project is based near Coventry.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Quantity Surveyors, driving commercial excellence across the project.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and profitability.
- Oversee contract and subcontract administration from procurement through to final account.
- Identify, value, and negotiate changes and claims under NEC contracts.
- Use programmes to monitor progress, assess delays, and manage risk effectively.
- Prepare commercial reports, bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and activity schedules, supporting the pricing and tendering of new works.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes and ensure full compliance with governance and policies.
The Ideal Candidate
- BSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and several years’ relevant experience.
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and proven commercial acumen are essential.
- Ability to manage budgets, accounts, and contract administration.
- Experienced leader, organised, results‑driven, and a clear communicator.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and the supply chain.
- Customer‑focused, committed to high standards.

- A salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
