We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our Construction Solutions UK Projects team for a major highway scheme in Bromsgrove. You will carry out surveying, setting out, and engineering control for construction activities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements. You will maintain clear records for project handover and support smooth delivery from start to finish.
Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will undertake accurate setting out, interpret drawings and specifications, and provide engineering support to the project team. You will ensure works are delivered safely, within environmental guidelines, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities will include preparing risk assessments and method statements, maintaining site records such as diaries and as-built documents, conducting quality checks, and assisting in the production of handover documentation.
Ideal CandidateYou will hold a relevant industry qualification in Construction or Civil Engineering and possess a CSCS card. Experience delivering major civil engineering or highway projects is essential, with strong skills in setting out techniques, use of robotic total stations, and IT competency, including MS Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of NEC contracts and highways specifications is desirable. You will have excellent communication, organisational skills, and a proactive, results-driven approach. You should be flexible, safety-focused, and committed to quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Package DescriptionA salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum. Our Colas Pension Scheme has combined contributions of up to 10%. Life Assurance Scheme which is x4 basic salary. 25 days annual leave per year + Public Holidays. Hybrid Working Scheme (dependent on the role). Opportunities to study towards a fully funded Professional Qualification.
