We are expanding our Litigation, Immigration, Family, and Conveyancing departments and are seeking an experienced Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued development of these practice areas and will be confident in managing a mixed caseload independently from instruction to conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation
- Manage a varied caseload including civil, contractual, commercial, and property disputes, as well as landlord and tenant matters.
- Draft and file court documents such as Particulars of Claim, Defences, Witness Statements, Skeleton Arguments, and Bills of Costs.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Provide strategic advice to clients and ensure full compliance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and SRA standards.
- Handle residential and commercial conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, lease extensions, and transfers of equity.
- Conduct title investigations, draft contracts, and manage exchange and completion.
- Liaise with estate agents, lenders, and clients to ensure smooth progression of transactions.
- Maintain compliance with CQS, AML, and Lender Exchange standards.
Immigration
- Advise and represent clients in all areas of UK Immigration Law, including Skilled Worker visas, Sponsor Licences, Family and Spouse applications, Student visas, Settlement, Naturalisation, Appeals, and Judicial Reviews.
- Prepare legal representations, supporting evidence, and Home Office submissions.
- Provide business immigration advice to corporate clients, ensuring sponsor compliance.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UKVI policies and legislative developments.
Family Law
- Manage private family law matters including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, and domestic abuse injunctions.
- Draft key legal documents such as consent orders, divorce petitions, and statements of case.
- Conduct negotiations, mediations, and court representation when necessary.
- Offer sensitive, client‑centred advice while maintaining professional boundaries.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with minimum 3 years PQE.
- Proven experience in at least two of the firm’s core areas (Litigation, Immigration, Family, Conveyancing); experience in all four is highly desirable.
- Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of CPR, UK Immigration Rules, and Family Law procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple files independently and work to tight deadlines.
- Competent with case management systems (Clio experience preferred).
- Professional, organised, and committed to exceptional client care and SRA regulations.
