Swisslog is currently seeking an experienced Senior Solution Designer to design solutions for complex intralogistics customer projects. Our head office in the UK is based in Redditch; however, this position can be performed from a home office environment with travel to customer sites or the head office when required.
Responsibilities:
- Autonomously and successfully understand customer requirements and develop solutions for medium to complex projects.
- Successfully lead the sales process from a Technical/Solution point of view, understanding customer requirements and opportunities and designing concepts and solutions for medium to complex projects.
- Participation in customer meetings, presentations, workshops and other pre-sale and sales activities.
- Able to analyze complex customer’s business data and processes.
- Work with customers and internal stakeholders to develop the appropriate intralogistics concepts and solutions for medium to complex projects.
- Create material flow diagrams, evaluate the proper technology to be used and dimension the subsystems.
- Prepare solution layout through 3D tools/CAD.
- Prepare budget costing based on standard Budget Tools for medium project complexity.
- Act as a leader in front of the customer in terms of solution and technical aspects.
What you need to succeed:
- Experience in intralogistics solution design.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
- Familiar with the common solution design standards in logistics.
- High level of independence, winning demeanour, assertiveness.
- Experienced IT user on common systems (MS Office, CRM & ERP systems).
- Design & Technical background in the material handling industry.
- Data analysis skills, PowerBI or SQL knowledge is desirable.
