Due to an increase in sales resulting in headcount expansion, KUKA Systems is seeking an experienced Controls Systems Engineer to design and develop complex industrial machine control systems for its turnkey products. You will already be an experienced Controls Systems Engineer, able to take a lead role in PLC, HMI and real-time motion control system design and programming, system commissioning, advanced control techniques and customer support. This is a varied and technically stimulating position involving high-speed precision machine control system development. You will work across the full lifecycle of control system development, from coding and testing through to commissioning and training.

- Design and programming of electrical control software for machine tool, robot and automation projects
- Writing and developing PLC code, typically using Siemens S7 / TIA or Allen-Bradley RSLogix platforms
- Setting up HMI systems and industrial communication networks such as Ethernet, Modbus and Profibus
- Performing hardware and software testing and validation
- Commissioning machine tools and automated systems, both in the UK and worldwide
- Delivering customer training and providing remote technical support
- Developing both PLC and robot control software
Key Skills & Experience:
- PLC programming experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley controllers for machine tool or special-purpose machinery projects
- HMI system design and development experience
- Software, hardware and systems development experience within automation or machinery
- Experience commissioning automated machinery or control systems
- Strong technical problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills
- HND / Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
