Overview
You lead the global customs operation transformation, aligning cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality processes. In this role you shape a scalable customs strategy across 40+ countries, driving productivity, automation, and outsourcing in partnership with stakeholders. You build high-performing teams and deliver measurable business impact while advancing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve customs operations across a global network for consistency and excellence
- Drive productivity gains via process optimization, automation, and tech-enabled transformation
- Oversee outsourcing and centralization of standardized customs activities with internal shared services
- Identify and implement innovative operational solutions to support growth and scalability
- Support onboarding of new customs business opportunities ensuring smooth implementation
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver value-added solutions
- Lead cross-functional projects across operations, technology, sales, business development, and compliance
- Inspire and develop teams and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- 15+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, customs, shipping, or related operations
- Proven leadership of international teams and transformation programs
- Strong business acumen including budgets, costs, or P&L
- Track record of delivering productivity improvements and large-scale transformations
- Strong analytical skills translating data into business decisions
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in international matrix organizations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication; ability to influence at all levels
- Fluent English; additional European languages a plus
