Overview
As National Customs Business Development Manager, you drive the growth strategy for customs services, winning new business and expanding partnerships while aligning with country objectives. You collaborate across operations and sales to deliver compliant, value-driven customs solutions and oversee cross-functional opportunities. You will shape proposals, influence pricing, and represent the company at industry events, enabling efficient global supply chains and impactful customer outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead the national customs growth strategy and drive new business acquisition
- Identify, qualify, and secure new customs brokerage opportunities while managing a CRM-based pipeline
- Develop compelling value propositions for customs brokerage, trade compliance, duty optimization, and consulting
- Coordinate with Customs Operations for onboarding and collaborate with Sea, Air, Road, Contract Logistics, and Sales for cross-selling
- Support RFQs, tenders, and customer presentations with tailored customs solutions
- Participate in customer reviews and executive meetings to strengthen relationships
- Support pricing strategy to achieve profitability
- Represent the company at industry events and networking activities
- Mentor and support local sales teams to improve customs knowledge and opportunity generation
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field
- Proven experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, business development, or international logistics
- Strong commercial mindset with success in business development and customer growth
- Expertise in strategic account management, solution selling, and customs-related service offerings
- Solid understanding of customs regulations, international trade processes, and compliance requirements
- Strong financial and commercial acumen including pricing, profitability, and margin management
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional, regional, and global teams in a matrix organization
