Overview
In this role, you will lead and oversee QSHE compliance across a major logistics programme, ensuring contractual, regulatory and policy alignment with operational delivery. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding governance, risk management and continuous improvement to sustain high performance. Working with operations and support teams, you will maintain compliance frameworks and drive audits and change control. This position offers a chance to influence strategic outcomes and safeguard operational integrity within a critical defence context.

Responsibilities
- Lead contractual compliance management and alignment with business objectives
- Monitor regulatory and policy changes and implement them across the contract
- Provide QSHE guidance to stakeholders and act as the compliance SME
- Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, registers and management systems
- Lead quality reviews of policies, procedures and work instructions
- Represent QSHE in internal and customer working groups
- Manage change control processes to identify and mitigate QSHE risks
- Support legal, environmental and information governance (GDPR/ISO) requirements
- Drive continuous improvement via audits, data analysis, reporting, and trend identification
- Champion a safety-conscious, sustainable and compliant working culture
Key requirements
- Experience in quality, safety, health, environmental or compliance management systems
- Audit experience with a recognised qualification or willingness to gain one
- Knowledge of contract management, governance or compliance in complex operations
- Experience implementing change initiatives while maintaining compliance
- Strong understanding of Integrated Management Systems and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
- Strong analytical, reporting and planning abilities with attention to detail
- Proactive, customer-focused and collaborative working style
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Experience in logistics/defence/aerospace/regulated sectors advantageous
