Office in the UK is located in Sutton Coldfield. Do you have a passion for international trade, experience in sales, and are you ready for the next step? Are you energetic, commercially driven, and not afraid to take responsibility? Then the role of EU Trader at Kuhne + Heitz is exactly what you’re looking for! We are traders at heart. Since 1974, we have been trading globally in meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, and dairy products. We buy directly from producers and sell to importers and wholesalers in more than 100 countries. Our reputation? Sharp, reliable, and decisive. From our headquarters in Dordrecht, a driven team of both young and experienced traders works on the global market every day. In addition, we have purchasing and sales offices in Germany and England. Communication lines are short, the atmosphere is informal, and the ambitions are big.
What will you do as a Trader? The world is your playing field. As a Trader, you are responsible from A to Z for capitalizing on commercial opportunities within your sales region or portfolio. You negotiate daily with suppliers and customers, adapt your approach to different cultures, and build long‑term relationships. You analyze market opportunities as well as risks, develop new product‑market combinations, and close deals with a results‑driven mindset. You don’t do this alone: you work closely with colleagues from purchasing, sales, and logistics. Together, you ensure your deals are successfully completed. You remain ultimately responsible for your deals, from negotiation to closing. Dynamics, speed, and commercial insight are key, no two days are the same! You travel regularly within the UK to visit clients and attend meetings, and you are occasionally present at international trade fairs to further expand your network. Entrepreneurship, courage, and commercial insight are at the core of the role.
About Trading:
- Expanding revenue with existing and new products within your market or portfolio
- Maintaining intensive (international) relationships with suppliers and customers
- Identifying and analyzing market developments on both the purchasing and sales side

- Collaborating with colleagues in trading and logistics to ensure optimal deal execution
Who are we looking for?
- You are someone who sees opportunities and seizes them!
- You have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (commercial or business‑related);
- You have at least 1 year and a maximum of 6 years of work experience;
- You have experience in a commercial or international trading environment;
- You are entrepreneurial, commercially driven, and decisive;
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and English (additional languages such as French and German are a plus);
- You possess strong analytical and communication skills;
- You are stress‑resistant, determined, and hands‑on;
- You are ready for a career in a fast‑paced, international environment.
