Based out of Exeter Pennsylvania, Kuharchik Construction is looking for an individual who has experience with repairs and maintaining our truck fleet and heavy-duty equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged/worn parts on a variety of utility trucks and equipment such as bucket trucks, diggers and hydraulic systems.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor to track costs.
- Submit all work and repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs are accurate through Fleet Maintenance Software.
- Must be a team player, creative, dedicated, and take responsibility for repair work.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Proficient with related computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
- Ability to read service and repair manuals.
- Perform all duties in accordance with best practices in mind for a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck and equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and trucks.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- CDL license a plus but not required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus.
- 3 or more years of maintenance and repair of utility trucks and equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to service trucks and equipment “on the road” and/or at jobsites.
- Physical effort to move objects and tools.
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling as well as a high level of dexterity.
