The non-conformance department is responsible for the processing of non-conforming receipts, identification, communication and resolution where possible of the non-conformance. The task is to lessen supply chain disruption by reducing the number of non-conformance reports and maximising stock availability.
The warehouse operatives' purpose is to act as a quality gate and communication conduit between the warehouse and the Commodity provisioner. The warehouse operative communicates the non-conformance to the provisioner who then in return provides the resolution to the non-conformance. Once the resolution/instruction is communicated, the colleague then takes the required action within a specified time, in line with current SORs. The closure of the non-conformance is then communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
