How you create impact
- Ensure the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of temperature-sensitive goods across the UK and Europe.
- Operate refrigerated vehicles in accordance with strict temperature control and handling protocols to preserve the integrity of perishable or pharmaceutical cargo.
- Uphold high levels of customer service, representing the company professionally at all delivery and collection points.
- Adhere to international transport regulations, including road safety, customs, and temperature compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication throughout the journey to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor and record temperature data throughout the journey using onboard systems or manual logs.
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or perishable items.
- Plan and follow efficient routes while complying with driving hours regulations and rest requirements.
- Adhere to all relevant transport laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly to the transport office.
What we would like you to bring
- Valid UK driving licence with appropriate category for Euro TCV (Temperature-Controlled Vehicle) operation.
- Experience in refrigerated transport or temperature-controlled logistics.
- Good understanding of transport regulations and health & safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Full UK Category B driving licence (permits driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes Maximum Authorised Mass or MAM).
- Good knowledge of GB domestic drivers hours rules (as EU tachograph rules typically apply only to vehicles over 3.5t).
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (to perform pre-trip checks and ensure vehicle roadworthiness).
- Good communication and time management skills for coordinating with dispatch and clients.
- Awareness of health & safety and hygiene standards, especially when transporting pharmaceuticals.
