Location: Multi-Task Warehouse Operative at Wattisham, near Ipswich, Suffolk. Role reports to Warehouse Team Leader and involves driving and warehouse duties.
How you create impact
- Undertake all warehousing duties, including operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and delivery vehicles, and participating in on-site delivery service.
- Inventory & Systems Management – operate the Management of Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) and other computerised systems (training will be provided).
- Detail-oriented warehousing – execute receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials (picking and packing) with absolute accuracy and compliance.
- Customer Service – prioritise and respond to customer queries and requests professionally and promptly.
- Compliance & Reporting – adhere to Company standards, Code of Conduct, Safe Working Practices, Quality, Health and Safety and Environment policies. Report any discrepancies that may influence contract performance to the relevant Team Leader.
What we would like you to bring
- Full driving licence and willingness to operate manual handling equipment (MHE) and undertake driving duties.
- Experience working to agreed targets and specific processes, with strong attention to detail.
- PC literate with knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of warehouse practices and KPIs and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of military aerospace logistics is advantageous.
- Willingness to undergo Security Check Clearance.
