Inspection Supervisor – Sevington – req126367 Your expertise in inspection can drive our excellence – join us. YOUR ROLE This role is responsible for the day to day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load of trailers, to presentation for inspection, and reload on to trailers. Shift rotation 4 days on 4 days off. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with manual handling procedures Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives Maintain the inspection environment following training COSHH Awareness following training Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices Champion a health and safety culture YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES Logistics experience in a large fast moving environment Strong warehouse system experience A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work Experience of working to agreed targets Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required The ideal candidate will have: Good communication skills and a high level of accountability by leading an example to team members Motivate team members to excel and place the customer at the centre of all decision making High attention to detail If you are supportive, a trail blazer or innovative we want to hear from you !!
