Equipment Examiner – Armourer – Telford – JR2503_0011

Take charge of our armoury equipment and ensure it\’s always battle-ready, your expertise and responsibility can keep our warehouse in top shape.

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, investigation, examination and conditioning of small arms equipment and associated sub-assemblies held at Kuehne+Nagel Donnington. Using approved data to maintain the stock.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and understanding of Risk Assessments and Risk Controls including understanding how to identify risks.
  • Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the
    workplace.
  • Actively participate and input into WIs/SOPs and process confirmations, assisting with the identification of necessary amendments, updates and rewrites as required
  • Be a Champion for Delivery of Service at all times.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the latest approved data
  • Responsible for ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with approved data
  • Ensure you work within current approved data, policies, processes, procedures and management guidance.
  • Work with others to ensure required outcomes are achieved

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Qualification/Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Experience of working on MOD items/equipment (desirable).
  • Light Weapons experience, pistols, Machine Guns, Sighting systems and ancillaries (desirable)
  • IMS experience
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and deal with conflict successfully.
  • Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate.
  • Drive, determination, and a track record in delivering continuous improvement.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends as/when required.
