The Sea Logistics Pricing Specialist plays a pivotal role within the National Sea Logistics Pricing Team, tasked with preparing and delivering quotations to the UK Sales Team, CCL, and international offices to drive business growth. The position requires close collaboration with trade and route management to ensure competitive market rates are provided swiftly and in line with established KPIs. Precision in data entry is vital to maximize profitability and maintain the highest standards of output quality.
How you create impact
- Prepare Sea Logistics quotations to support both regular and spot pricing requests from National Sales teams, CCL, or overseas offices.
- Meet tight deadlines and adhere to key performance indicators.
- Utilise internal and external quotation tools effectively.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Sea Logistics products being quoted, while also staying informed about other KN Sea Logistics offerings and operations.
- Possess the knowledge and capability to obtain rates from the business field quoting platform to construct accurate quotations.
- Collaborate closely with trade and product management to ensure quotations reflect the appropriate sales strategy in line with current market conditions.
- Ensure precise data entry to support the effective use of SeaQuote.
- File carrier buy rates accurately to facilitate SeaRates usage.
What we would like you to bring
- Proven experience in freight forwarding or sea logistics transportation.
- Strong understanding of sea logistics, combined with solid commercial insight.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve targets.
- Knowledgeable in Incoterms, shipping methods, and shipment classifications
- Skilled at fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders
