Your Role

Our Road Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel provides hundreds of customers with services to move their goods across Europe. The sales team works directly to source, engage, and maintain our customer base, ensuring shipments are booked efficiently and delivered on time. We work with a diverse customer base – you could find yourself shipping Canoes to Croatia or Shoes to Slovakia. Every day is different! Your Responsibilities

Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfect blend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the Sales Level 4 Apprenticeship standard. You will work within a successful Sales team while learning everything you need to know to be a top sales performer, supported by your peers, managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

Initially, you will focus on delivering excellent customer service, then build on this foundation to develop specialist Sales skills – you may even be given your own Customer Service or Sales Account to manage! Successful apprentices may secure a full-time sales position, along with bonuses and pay rises linked to the programme.

Over two years, you will learn how to:

  • Process bookings from clients and overseas agents efficiently.
  • Provide operational support for Sales Managers.
  • Coordinate shipment movements, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Handle shipment issues and keep clients and Sales Managers updated.
  • Process sales and purchase invoices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training.
  • Make sales calls, onboard new customers.
  • Analyze sales performance and prepare customer review meetings.

Your Skills and Experiences

Minimum entry requirement: Five GCSEs at grades 3-9 / A*-D including Maths & English. Passion for customer service, strong work ethic, effective communication skills. Good planning and organizational skills; ability to multitask and be self-motivated. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial. Candidates must have resided in the EEA for at least 3 years; visa sponsorship and apprenticeship funding are not available.

  • Apprenticeship Contract: 21st October 2024 – 16th October 2026
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:15
  • Place of work: Office based

Recruitment Process:
