Our 24‑month Apprenticeship programme blends practical on‑the‑job training with study towards the Sales Level 4 Apprenticeship standard. You’ll learn everything you need to become a top sales performer while supported by your peers, managers and the apprenticeship team. First part: customer service fundamentals; second part: specialist sales skills and managing your own account or desk. Successful apprentices can secure a full‑time sales position and earn bonuses and pay rises.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents into the system.
- Provide operational support for Sales Managers when required.
- Liaise with all relevant parties throughout shipments to organise goods movement and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Deal with issues during shipments and keep clients and Sales Managers updated.
- Process sales and purchase invoices for the branch.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Make sales calls, engage and onboard new customers.
- Attend customer off‑site meetings.
- Analyse sales performance statistics and prepare‑deliver customer review meetings.
What we would like you to bring
The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is five GCSEs at grades 3–9 / A*–D (including Maths and English). We value candidates passionate about excellent customer service, with a strong work ethic, good planning and organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and a self‑starter attitude. Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial. This vacancy does not meet minimum requirements for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years. This is an entry‑level training position. If you are already qualified or experienced in this area of work, this is unlikely to be the right role for you.
