Responsibilities include initiating contact with potential and current customers to generate and qualify leads, promoting the company's products and services, and identifying sales opportunities. Profile and develop business relationships with prospective Sea Logistics customers through regular face-to-face engagement. Develop solutions for customers based on a detailed understanding of their requirements. Take pricing decisions in alignment with the relevant internal stakeholders. Prepare, submit and follow up quotations to the customers. Record customer-facing activity in the CRM system meeting desired activity targets. Bring a sense of urgency to situations, demonstrate an active approach, and be willing to get involved in order to increase the pace and achieve goals. Sell KN services sustainably. This role has responsibility for building a portfolio of new business customers, with a key focus on customer growth and profitability of your portfolio.
Qualifications include experience in freight forwarding preferred, albeit not essential. The ability to develop sales leads and build relationships with customers is important. A drive, assertion, and the ability to communicate with others in a logical manner are essential. A self-starter, competitive, imaginative, enthusiastic, self-confident, inspiring, logical, systematic, and precise approach is required. A friendly approach and the ability to influence and persuade others are important to the function. Effective and proactive time management and forward planning are necessary. A full driving license is essential.
