The First Line Manager is responsible for the day-to-day AJAX operational functionality and performance of the team, which includes Warehouse Operatives within the Donnington Depot and at Pearsons Engineering (PEL), Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Responsibilities

  • All QSHE 1A Checks completed as required for Level 1 Audit activities.
  • Always be an Ambassador for Safety.
  • Undertake Near Miss and Safety Concern Reporting and Progression as required.
  • Ensure all Accidents are reported to the Line Manager as required.
  • Undertake QSHE Investigations as required for safety compliance including root cause analysis, trend tracking and improvement plans.
  • Manage staff on SMART, including exceptions management.
  • Undertake Overtime Allocation activities as required.
  • Undertake effective Resource Utilisation, Planning and Management activities as required.
  • Undertake Reward and Recognition of Staff.
  • Mentor/Coach staff and support peers as required.
  • Responsible for effective and efficient Operational Area Management as applicable and as required.
  • Undertake Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Management as and when required.
  • Conduct Facilities reporting and escalation as required.
  • Conduct Management Briefs as required.
