This role is an integral element of the day to day operational functionality delivering objectives and outputs efficiently and effectively within a Kuehne+Nagel Government & Defence warehouse environment.
How you create impact
- Carry out assigned tasks including: picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, the processing of returns and stock maintenance and integrity tasks.
- Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned computer based tasks as required.
- Comply and contribute to the KN 5s standards within the working area.
- Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas.
- Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/ WI.
- Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy.
- Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace.
- Achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy.
- Adopt KN Compass behaviours.
- Follow the escalation process where there is any deviation from the standard process.
- Requirement to work at height in a safe and effective manner in line with training provided.
What we would like you to bring
- Experience of working to agreed targets.
- PC literate.
- MHE licence (preferable).
- Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Reliable and committed to attending work on time.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy.
- High attention to detail.
