Your Role

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality of a department within the Defence Fulfilment Centre, ensuring all H&S standards, accuracy, and delivery KPI’s are met.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage Warehouse Administrator to ensure all operational system requirements are met.
  • Plan the daily workload and ensure that time and attendance matters are managed, monitoring internal and external KPI’s, ensuring that they are met and improved upon.
  • Build positive customer relationships and respond constructively to customer requests and internal departments.
  • Encourage employee participation and effective team working, ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication.
  • Ensure that MoD JSP requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain controls for returned and damaged stock.
  • Able to deploy stock across different sites if and when necessary. Compile Warehouse Management System activity data to create weekly reports. Manage resource levels, overtime, and agency labour across FC1 & FC2.
  • Manage various system hygiene tasks across our multi-user sites.
  • Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas. Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/WI.
  • Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices, including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience of working to agreed targets.
  • Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA[Despatcher].
  • Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner.
  • Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate.
  • Reliable and committed to attending work on time.
  • Good communication skills and strong organisation skills.
  • Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy.
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends when required.
