Your Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Quick Time Critical Team in Staines. Our Quick team at Kuehne+Nagel provides comprehensive logistics solutions for Automotive, High-tech, Industrial, and Oil & Gas industries. The team is responsible for providing white glove solutions that meet or exceed the customers' expectations, including both internal and external customers. Your Responsibilities
- Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfect blend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the International Freight Forwarding Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.
- As part of the team, you will provide operational support to clients and colleagues to ensure that our customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- You will communicate with a variety of people, including overseas customers and agents.
- Your training will prepare you to be involved in problem solving, finance tracking, and supporting day-to-day department duties.
- You’ll be learning how to:
- Establish the best transport solution, such as Express Air, Charter, Hand carry, or Road
- Complete Customs checks
- Provide quotations and gain 3rd party costings
- Take booking details, arrange collections/deliveries
- Trace and track shipments and keep customers updated proactively
- Support 24/7/365 operations and service delivery
- Respond to ‘Problem Pieces’ and coordinate redistribution as needed
- Use computer systems with various applications
- Handle internal and external customer queries efficiently
- Maintain high customer service standards while ensuring compliance and performance targets are met
Your Skills and Experiences
- Minimum entry requirement: Five GCSEs at grades 3–9 / A*-D, including Maths & English
- Passion for excellent customer service, strong work ethic, effective communication skills
- Good planning and organizational skills, ability to multitask, self-starter
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial
- Applicants must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years; this role does not meet visa sponsorship or apprenticeship funding criteria

- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
- Place of work: Onsite at Strata Staines House, TW18 4TP (please ensure it is a commutable distance)
