The Role:

We are recruiting a Senior Solutions Engineer (Networking) to act as a senior technical resource to work alongside our sales team to provide solutions for customers based on the HPE (inc. Juniper and Aruba) and Cisco portfolio of products. This role will have the ability to extend into compute and storage with Dell, HPE and Pure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • DELIVER (Primary Role)
  • Install, configure, commission, and test solutions at customer’s premises.
  • Support customers wherever they are based in the world to deliver programmes of work.
  • Liaise with customer representatives and third-party organisations to coordinate delivery.
  • Take on any role as required within the Delivery function, whether: Support Desk, TechOps, Warehouse, basic Project Management, Professional Services, Managed Services, Consultancy, and any other function as appropriate.
  • Work with and when required, lead, other teams of engineers in delivery at customer sites and on projects.
  • Mentor and coach mid-level and junior engineers.
  • Complete all project and delivery documentation, tickets, and systems updates.
  • Work with project managers, solutions architects, and other delivery leadership in the preparation and planning of delivery.
  • Deliver projects to our customers.
  • PRE-SALES (Secondary Occasional Role)
    • Engage in customer pre-sales activities to include presentation and whiteboard sessions as well as providing written work such as RFI responses and Statement of Works.
    • Working with Solutions Architects, design robust solutions for customers encompassing a wide range of compute, storage, networking and other infrastructure technologies and services.
    • Deliver onsite presentations and demonstrations of solutions in isolation and alongside Kubus representatives and those from our vendors.
    • Working with Solutions Architects, produce Bill of Materials for sales that can be converted into customer quotes.
    • Manage Helpdesk tickets generated by sales staff in a timely manner.
    • Create standard project documentation such as LLD to allow delivery engineers to deliver projects to our customers.
  • TECHNICAL CERTIFICATION
    • Maintain all current and future industry and vendor certifications and ensure they remain active.
    • Complete vendor led and self-study learning to complete certifications as required by the business.
    • Identify potential training courses that will be of benefit to the individual and the business.
  • PROFESSIONAL & MANAGED SERVICES
    • Attend customer site to deliver solutions and services.
    • Ownership of assigned customer projects.
    • Define project scope for customer engagements.
    • Produce high quality customer documentation.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Understanding of vendor technologies from HPE, Dell, Pure, Juniper, Aruba and other infrastructure vendors.
    • Proven success in delivering Pre-Sales to prospect customers and designing solutions or services that meet requirements and deliver on expectations.
    • Certification to HPE ASE in networking. Master ASE preferred but not mandatory.
    • Preferred Certification to Juniper JNCIS level or an equivalent from an alternative vendor (Aruba, Cisco, etc).
    • Preferred Networking certifications for Aruba, Juniper, Cisco.
    • Understanding of orchestration and management platforms such as Juniper MIST.
    • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with peers throughout the business and with customer contacts.
    • Hands on experience with CLI and/or orchestration platforms.
    • Strong communication skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and a self-starting ethos.
    • A desire to win, meet and exceed targets, and a personality that will inspire trusted long‑term relationships with colleagues and Customers alike.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks/issues/projects concurrently and adjust as priorities change.
    • Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.
    • Proven experience in working efficiently and meeting tight deadlines.
    • Organised and meticulous, with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Positive contributions to the organisation beyond the scope of normal responsibilities.
