The Role:
We are looking for a System & Support Engineer to join our internal IT team in this brand new position. Based at our Kemble office, the successful candidate will attend to internal IT related queries, providing excellent customer service to our internal staff. The System & Support Engineer will work with our IT Apprentice to assist employees, and lead application administration & maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience administrating ERP, CRM and ITSM systems (ideally Netsuite, Salesforce & HaloPSA).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- SYSTEMS & APPLICATIONS
- Administration of core applications and systems such as SalesForce, Netsuite, HaloPSA and M365
- Own the resolution of application support requests
- Own maintenance and management, including upgrades.
- SYSTEMS & SECURITY
- Maintain security, network, infrastructure & operating system patching across the estate
- Ensure all infrastructure devices are operational, patched and secure
- Assist with upgrades and configurational changes
- PROJECTS
- Own IT projects across the departments full scope of operation, and their delivery
- Change, transformation, continuous improvement
- HELPDESK
- Respond to IT Helpdesk queries
- Second line escalation for support
- Manage the Helpdesk queue and respond to tickets in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Resolve issues with company owned IT
- Build new devices based on company standards and best practices
- Reset passwords and provide system admin for users and systems
- Software patching and updates
- Administration of ERP and CRM Systems
- Professionally representing the Company whilst at external meetings, visits and when meeting customers/suppliers as per the Kubus Code of Conduct
- Meet objectives and work to specified timeframes
- GENERAL DUTIES
- Provision new starters and leavers
- Provision and upgrade IT equipment
- Manage, record and maintain software updates and patches for internal systems and users
- Perform IT Inductions for new starters
- Daily Checks of systems to ensure operational status
- Management of backups and associated hardware and software
- Assist the Head of IT in project related work
- Maintain asset register
- Ensure documentation is maintained and kept up to date
- PERSONAL STRATEGY
- Increase knowledge of internal systems
- Achieve industry recognised certifications as directed by the Head of IT
- Identify issues with processes and propose solutions based on best practices
- Feedback to the Head of IT on issues
- CONDUCT
- Professional and polite.
- Always adhere to Company policy and work in line with the Company Quality Management Systems
- Adhere to the Company's ISO 9001 & 27001 standards
What We’re Looking For:
This is a Level 2 IT System & Support Engineer position. The successful candidate will be expected to learn on the job and be office based 5 days a week from our Kemble office. As Kubus is a growing organization some travel to other sites may be required from time to time.
A keen interest in IT and willingness to learn
- Exhibit good problem-solving skills
- Someone who is happy to learn on the job
- Basic understanding of networking
- Experience administrating ERP, CRM and ITSM systems (ideally Netsuite, Salesforce & HaloPSA)
- Experience with M365 and Microsoft Azure (essential)
- Experience of Intune and automated device provisioning
- Understanding/prior experience administrating a Windows domain
- Experience working in a helpdesk or customer service environment
- Must be able to demonstrate Kubus company values.
