The Role:
We\’re hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to join its Advanced team. The role involves designing and developing cloud-native data platforms using Databricks on Azure, AWS, or GCP, leveraging Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices. Candidates should have experience in data ingestion, orchestration tools, and preferably data mesh architectures. The position requires strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, application hosting and IAM. Beyond technical responsibilities, the engineer will lead delivery squads, provide guidance, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of cloud-native data platforms using AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Architect and implement scalable solutions with tools like Databricks and Snowflake
- Integrate ingestion/orchestration frameworks across a variety of client environments
- Provide hands-on mentorship, line management, and technical guidance to delivery teams
- Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders to translate business goals into technical outcomes
- Contribute to Kubrick’s internal innovation culture and shape our future delivery capabilities
Personal Specification:
- Must be able to demonstrate significant experience deploying cloud-native solutions across at least two of: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and modern DevOps practices (IaC, CI/CD)
- Strong solution architecture skills, with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to business stakeholders
- Experience in technical leadership and/or line management
- Exposure to data mesh architectures (bonus!)
- A passion for building better platforms – and better teams!
