The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Snowflake Engineer (Senior Manager level) to join our thriving Snowflake community. You’ll be a technical authority on Snowflake, leading the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-based data platforms while mentoring teams and partnering closely with clients. This is a role for someone who loves solving complex data problems, setting technical direction, and helping others grow.

You’ll work hands-on with technologies such as Snowflake, Python, SQL, Spark, and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), while also playing a pivotal role in shaping Kubrick Advanced Snowflake capability and culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead high-quality technical delivery across client engagements, ensuring Kubrick is known for engineering excellence.
  • Design and deliver scalable Snowflake-based data solutions alongside clients and Snowflake Professional Services.
  • Translate business requirements into robust, cloud-native data architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership within delivery squads, setting best practices across the full project lifecycle.
  • Build trusted client relationships and contribute to Kubrick’s commercial success.
  • Line manage and mentor engineers, supporting both technical and personal development.
  • Champion continuous learning through collaboration, innovation, and Kubrick-funded certifications.

Deep Snowflake Expertise:

  • Strong experience with Snowflake including Snowpipe, Snowpark, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and UDFs.
  • SnowPro certifications are highly desirable.

Strong Engineering Foundations:

  • Advanced Python and SQL skills, with clean, well-documented code.
  • Experience designing and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with services such as S3, ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Fabric, Redshift.
  • Proven experience leading delivery teams and mentoring engineers.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with data scientists, BI teams, and product owners.

Client-Facing Confidence:

  • Ability to engage directly with clients, shape solutions, and deliver against expectations.

Problem-Solving Mindset:

  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for performance optimisation and data quality.
