The Capability Lead is accountable for the global Data and AI Product Management (AIDPM) capability, including delivery, workforce, and service offerings within Kubrick’s Applied Technology Practice globally, across all regions where Kubrick operates. The Capability Leads ensure technical excellence, a high‑performing team, and market‑relevant propositions that deliver value for clients and contribute to Kubrick’s growth. Capability Leads are essential to ensuring Kubrick delivers technically excellent, market relevant solutions with a skilled, engaged workforce. This role enables sustainable growth by bridging technical depth and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, refine, and maintain capability‑aligned services, delivery models, and propositions.
  • Build, mentor, and manage the skills pipeline within the capability, ensuring the right team composition and supporting hiring and progression.
  • Identify training needs, support internal enablement, advocate for certifications aligned with technology and capability requirements.
  • Shape technical solutions and act as a subject matter expert in pre‑sales and client engagements.
  • Develop and maintain frameworks, templates, and accelerators to enable scalable, repeatable, and high‑quality delivery.
  • Provide technical oversight on complex or strategic engagements and act as an escalation point for capability‑specific issues.
  • Where relevant, collaborate with technology partners (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) to align tools, methods, and certifications.
  • Lead capability‑specific communities of practice and advocate for the capability’s needs within the wider consultancy.
  • Own capability performance end‑to‑end, including utilisation, delivery quality, pipeline contribution, and revenue performance in line with the agreed business plan.
  • Partner closely with Resource Management, Recruitment, Finance, Training, Sales, HR, and Client Leadership to ensure sustainable growth, margin delivery, workforce readiness, and successful client outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Technical Authority and Expertise: Recognised technical authority in the capability area, with deep expertise and a track record of leading substantial technical engagements. Strong knowledge of relevant platforms, frameworks, and partner technologies. Commercially aware with strong client‑facing skills, demonstrated through significant contributions to RFPs, proposals, and sales activities. Proven ability to shape solutions aligned with client business needs.
  • Strong Delivery Management Capabilities: Extensive delivery and stakeholder management experience, evidenced by leading sizeable, complex projects with high quality and client satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, engaging effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • People Management and Planning: Line management experience, including coaching, resource planning, designing project teams, and participating in recruitment (ideally at Senior Manager level and above). This role will directly line manage all Associate Directors within the capability. Proven ability to develop team skills and identify training or certification needs.
Performance Goals & Measures
  • Team Utilisation – Achieve and sustain target utilisation rates for the capability team (across all consultant ranks) and sustain individual utilisation of 50%-60%.
  • IP Creation – Drive creation and adoption of capability‑developed assets across engagements.
  • Delivery Quality – Maintain high client satisfaction (e.g., NPS) and adherence to quality standards.
  • Capability Workforce Readiness – Ensure team certifications and skill levels meet or exceed expectations.
  • Proposition Development & Evolution – Refresh and enhance service offerings to align with market demand – ensuring Kubrick’s offering is always ahead of the market.
  • Sales Support – Support pursuit activities achieving achieved pre‑sales win rate targets through commercial and technical credibility.
  • Capability revenue contribution – Deliver revenue contribution in line with agreed business plan.

  • Practice Directors – receives strategic direction and provides capability updates.
  • Capability Team Members – coaches and mentors team members within the capability.
  • Client & Commercial Teams – partners in developing proposals and supporting pursuits.
  • Solution Leads – partner and collaborate on GTM and sales motion activities.
  • Clients – engage directly during delivery and pre‑sales.
  • Kubrick’s Technology Partners & Partner Management Team – aligns on tools, certifications, and strategic initiatives.
