We're looking for an eCommerce obsessed Account Manager to join our team. Full-time · Birmingham, UK

You press that launch button, and a new website goes live. But what happens next? At Kubix, we're a Shopify Platinum Partner building online stores for brands across fashion, fitness, food, furniture and more. But launch day is only the start. Just like a physical store, a Shopify store needs regular updates, new ideas, and a lick of paint every now and again - and that's where you come in. We're looking for a mid-level Account Manager who is obsessed with the "what's next" behind every website. Unlike a marketing AM juggling emails or ad campaigns, you'll be website-focused, owning the ongoing relationship between our clients and their Shopify stores, spotting the improvements they haven't thought of yet, and turning them into a roadmap for growth.

What You'll Do

  • Roadmap Ownership: Build and maintain an eCommerce roadmap for each client, aligned to their business objectives and where their store needs to go next.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement across existing stores - from a simple UX tweak to the implementation of new technology like a loyalty scheme.
  • Data-Led Recommendations: Dig into store performance data to spot where a small operational change could have a big impact on the bottom line.
  • Development Briefing: Brief our development team with clear, relevant tasks based on client goals, and keep work moving in the right direction.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside designers, developers and solutions engineers to pull together everything a client needs.
  • Client Partnership: Be the bridge between the client and the Kubix team. The person who sees what they can't, and finds solutions they'd never have found alone.

About You

  • The Problem Solver: You spot opportunities and solutions before anyone asks, that's just how your brain works.
  • eCommerce Native: You have a genuine passion for eCommerce and a solid understanding of Shopify and the ecosystem of apps and tech around it.
  • A Confident Communicator: Meetings and calls are second nature. You're just as comfortable gathering requirements from a client as you are briefing an internal team.
  • Organised & Proactive: You plan your own workload well, and you don't let the important stuff get sidetracked by the urgent stuff.

Skills / Qualities

  • 2+ years of eCommerce experience (Shopify preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience working in an agency environment
  • Sound knowledge of eCommerce principles and strategy
  • Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders
  • Ability to project manage and prioritise a dynamic workload
  • Proven ability to take initiative and find unique ways to add value for clients
  • Experience in a customer-facing or communications role would be advantageous

Plus Points

  • Familiarity with the wider Shopify app ecosystem (loyalty, subscriptions, personalisation, etc.)
  • Comfortable reading store or campaign data to inform recommendations
  • Shopify Partner training or equivalent platform certification

Salary Expectations: We appreciate that showing a salary indication is helpful for you to know whether it works with your personal circumstances, and it can be extremely frustrating to keep something so important so vague. But honestly? We’re in a position to consider a wide variety of experiences and salary levels for this role, so we’d rather discuss your experience and skills than try to set a salary bracket. If you’re the best person for the role, then we’ll offer a salary that works.

Do you want to be our next Account Manager? Now it's over to you. Submit your application and one of our team will be in touch.
