About Edinburgh Justice Services

We offer extensive training for continuous professional development and a broad range of interventions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Justice Worker interested in Trauma-Informed practice, Early Intervention, and Groupwork to join the Justice Pathways Service (JPS) for men. JPS provides interventions such as Diversion from Prosecution, Bail Supervision, Structured Deferred Sentences, and Community Payback Orders, focusing on men affected by complex trauma.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing individuals on Supervised Bail
  2. Preparing progress reports for Court
  3. Co-facilitating Groupwork programmes
  4. Supporting individuals under statutory orders

Candidate Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be adaptable to a dynamic environment, and contribute to an inclusive culture valuing diversity and lived experience. A minimum of HNC in Social Care and extensive experience in a care or justice setting are required.

Regulatory and Background Checks

This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will need to join or update the PVG Scheme and may require an Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
