The Quantity Surveyor will work with the Operations Team to ensure all project costs are effectively managed. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a QS and will come from a Telecommunications background.

- Qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the Building or Civil Engineering sectors
- Excellent communication skills

- Analyse sub-contractor/vendor quotations and check inclusions and exclusions
- Ensure all working documents/pricing calculators and data are maintained
- Provide complete conceptual bid work, and final estimating input on complex projects
- Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids
- Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures
- Supervise and coordinate estimate support staff on larger projects
- Advise Department Manager as to cost and schedule fluctuations, improved material, or other factors affecting construction
- Explore Value Engineering for all applicable projects or situations
- Review market labour and equipment rates, and advise accordingly
- Assist Departmental Manager in the coordination of overall corporate estimating functions, including systems development and staff training
- Develop and maintain costs database ensuring best market value
