A vital role at the heart of the finance function, supporting the Accounts Payable team and ensuring financial records are accurate, organised and up to date. You’ll play a central part in keeping day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations running smoothly.

Location: Wednesbury

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The role:

  • Take ownership of the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring queries and invoices are managed promptly and accurately
  • Complete supplier and vendor reconciliations, helping to maintain clean and reliable accounts
  • Provide day‑to‑day support to the Accounts Payable Clerks, contributing to an efficient and collaborative team
  • Match invoices to the correct purchase orders, resolving discrepancies where required
  • Accurately process invoices and credit notes directly onto the ledger
  • Act as a key point of contact for supplier queries, responding professionally via email and telephone

You’ll need:

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and processes
  • Confident user of Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Experience with accurate data entry, ledger posting and financial record‑keeping
  • Background within food and beverage manufacturing would be advantageous, but is not a requirement
