KT & Coe are currently recruiting for an experienced Serious Injury Claims Handler to join a specialist legal team. This role is ideal for someone with previous personal injury case handling experience, particularly with serious injury claims, who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and high-performing team.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of serious injury personal injury claims from initial instruction through to resolution. Working closely with colleagues and third parties, you will ensure the highest level of legal work and client care is delivered throughout the claims process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of serious injury personal injury claims
  • Apply for and review medical records and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with clients, witnesses, police forces and third parties
  • Obtain police reports, CCTV evidence and witness statements
  • Ensure clients attend required medical examinations
  • Negotiate settlements with third parties
  • Prepare cases for litigation and court proceedings
  • Prepare court bundles and documentation
  • Assist counsel at court hearings where required
  • Maintain accurate file management and compliance with legal procedures
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Previous experience handling serious injury personal injury claims (intermediate / multi-track)
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise work effectively
